Nice getaway spot
The place was quiet and comfortable with a nice large kitchen. We enjoyed our stay. The only negatives, fairly minor, were generally poor lighting and a small bathroom to be shared by those staying in 2 of the bedrooms.

Clean and Quiet
We had a wonderful stay. Loved the open concept and secluded location. We were greeted with deers upon our arrival and we spotted them often. Not far from Mariposa for groceries and other things you may need. About 45min drive into Yosemite Valley, but the drive is beautiful. The place was clean and well stocked on most things. It was hot, but the cooling system worked great for the shared space, and large fans were provided for the bedrooms. We were about 15 min late checking out and the cleaner had to wait 10min for us to leave, but we were still returned our deposit which was much appreciated. Thanks for a lovely stay! We would stay again in the future.

Total hit with my kids!

When we drove up to the Quarry House, my 17 year old daughter was thrilled and called it her dream home because of the beautiful setting and cute, quaint home nestled there. She went around taking no less than 100 pictures of the yard and house. My 6 year old son was equally pleased and immediately pretended that the fallen log in the backyard was a pirate ship and made his dad walk the plank. In other areas of the yard he was king of the rock. The yard is huge and is a perfect Adventureland for the kids. It would be hard to play soccer or volleyball since it has many granite boulders throughout but my kids loved it. Even my husband liked it because of the internet connection so he could get some work done in the evening. I loved the granite counters and clean wood floors. When asked if they’d rather spend the rest of the day at Yosemite or go back to the house, my kids all voted for the house! There were only three minor downsides to this property and two were out of their control. 1- hwy 49 was closed due to flooding which prevented us from even getting to the house the first night without a two hour detour. So we had to find a hotel since it was already really late. 2- cell phone coverage is spotty at best especially if you have AT&T but the owners let you use the landline, which we did. 3- there were a few ants in one cupboard in the kitchen and a miscellaneous one in the bathroom but I didn’t notice them overall as a problem since the place is kept clean. Again, nothing to deter us from recommending it to others. There are three spacious bedrooms and a good sized family room. The weather was pleasant so we didn’t try any heating or cooling equipment and can’t comment there, but we did find a tree to hang our hammock from for an hour or so to read in the shade. And if you have a stuffed lion like we did, there is a perfect rock in the yard to recreate a Lion King circle of life pose. Haha! Really cute place! Thanks John!
